Indoor dining in New York City will close on Monday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced, as cases and hospitalizations from the coronavirus illness COVID-19 continue to rise. “Hospitalizations have not stabilized, and with a rising infection rate and NYC’s density, this means that indoor dining is too high of a risk,” Cuomo said in a tweet. New York state has had 743,242 confirmed cases of the deadly virus, according to the state health department, and at least 35,266 people have died, the most of any state.
