The 2021 edition of New York’s Governors Ball festival will be held from September 24 to 26.
“We’ve decided to move the 2021 show to a time of year that is both more realistic and safer for all,” said festival producer Founders Entertainment. The organizers said that they are “working closely with City and State authorities to ensure that the next Gov Ball will be a safe and amazing experience.”
“Given that vaccines are rolling out and many experts predict a return to live music events in the Fall, we are hopeful,” the Governors Ball Music Festival said on its website. “Rest assured that safety is our first priority and we are working closely with all city and state authorities on everything.”
The 2020 Governors Ball, which was scheduled to take place in June, was canceled due to the pandemic. Stevie Nicks and Missy Elliott were among the artists that were scheduled to perform at the 2020 edition.
2020 ticket holders are directed to http://govball.com for more information on requesting a refund or on rolling over their tickets.
The lineup for 2021 will be revealed in the coming months.
